Holding successive friendly matches will be beneficial for the team.
This was stated by Aykhan Abbasov, head coach of the Azerbaijani national team consisting of football players under 21 years old, in his statement to the "Report" employee assigned to Minsk.
The specialist spoke about the friendly match they will hold against Belarus tomorrow:
"This is our last training camp before the official matches. We want to gain maximum strength in the framework of preparation. Because in September we have difficult matches against the national teams of Portugal and Bulgaria. That's why we went on a trip and wanted our players to feel the fatigue of the trip. Holding successive friendly matches will be beneficial for the team. Belarus is a good team. A tough match awaits us against this team tomorrow. Even if it is a friendly match, we want to win. Our main goal is for the players to perform with determination and desire."
A. Abbasov said that such meetings are a great experience for young football players:
"The players have left behind a difficult season. Maybe they are young, they don't feel tired so much. But in the national team, we must put everything aside and work for the success of the team. There will be time for rest ahead. Anyway, some football players have not had enough chances to wear uniforms in their clubs. I think that those football players and others are eager to play in such friendly matches. Not everyone gets an invitation to the national team."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will meet with the team of the corresponding age group of Belarus on June 4. The meeting, which will be held at the Baranovichy city stadium, will start at 19:00 local time (20:00 Baku time). The national team will then hold a friendly match with the U-21 team of Montenegro on June 8 at the Mehdi Huseynzade Sumgayit city stadium as part of the preparation.
