However, according to the source, this information does not reflect reality. The AFFA leadership understands that it is difficult for a specialist to fully demonstrate his potential in such a short time. Therefore, Aykhan Abbasov will also continue the preparation process for the UEFA Nations League, which will be held in the 2026/2027 season.
Let us remind you that the Azerbaijani national team will face Iceland in Baku on November 13 and France on November 16, also in the capital, as part of the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
