Aykhan Abbasov supports financial incentive mechanism for local players

Aykhan Abbasov, head coach of the Azerbaijan national team U-21, welcomes the decision to implement a financial incentive mechanism for the appearance of local players in the squads of clubs playing in the Misli Premier League.

The specialist gave an explanation to "Report" about this.

He stated that such issues are a good thing:

"If we are talking about large amounts, this will be interesting for clubs. More than half of the teams have less funding than others. Perhaps in the future, clubs will be more inclined to this. But everything depends on the amount. On the other hand, young people who are strong today will already play in their clubs. If we want to play some talented football player, finance is not interesting. We will give him a chance. But of course, having such things is an advantage and a good thing".

According to Abbasov, clubs can sometimes give young players a chance in the championship because of finances:

"For example, it will be interesting for us to receive funding for releasing 3 young players during the season in "Shamakhi". But again, I emphasize that the amount is very important. In any case, I welcome this decision. The legionnaire limit has been abolished. The fee has increased, and not everyone will attract many foreigners. They will be forced to pay additional funds".

It should be noted that the AFFA Executive Committee introduced a financial incentive mechanism on February 3 .
