Maybe if we hadn't lost points in some games during the season, we could be higher now. There is one game left before the break. The national team also has a game ahead. We are really tired. But I wouldn't want a break. The team has been doing well in recent games. We only lost to "Qarabag".
– It is almost certain that you will leave at the end of the season. Should the budget be increased for you to stay? Is there any action from the management?
– Step-by-step work is needed for the development of the club. Last season, our leading players left. This year, the incoming players are also performing well. We know that it will be difficult to keep them. If you want to win something, the squad must stay and strengthen. These are also related to the budget. We must also develop as a club.
– You are achieving good results, but you find work in "poor" teams.
– The answer to this question is within ourselves. Until we support each other, it will not improve. I see that well-known coaches condemn the locals and set their sights on their places. When we appreciate ourselves, the club leaders will stand behind the local coaches, then it is possible to work. But now 90 percent of club leaders do not stand behind local coaches. It's a long matter.
– Maybe there is a need for a change of club leaders?
– Many club leaders should leave already. They don't get results. They also need to be questioned. How many coaches will change? The only issue is not the coach. There are many experts who keep the team, but the wrong transfers made by the management create problems. Our problem is not just the coach. Local coaches should also support themselves and not talk behind each other's backs.
– Karim Rossi has a good offer to Russia…
– Wherever I have worked, my strikers have done well. Ali Gurbani, Peyman Babayi, Richard Gadze... Rossi is a football player I have been watching for two years. But he wasn't like that when he came.
