French football club "Ayaccio" has begun to go bankrupt.
Lent.az reports that on August 18, the club's management filed for bankruptcy with the Ajaccio city court. As a result, 180 club employees will be laid off, and the training center will be closed.
On August 13, the French Football Federation (FFF) announced that it had removed "Ayaccio", which finished the 2024/25 season in 12th place in League 2, from all national tournaments. The club still hopes to join the third division, but for this it needs to raise several hundred thousand euros in order to appeal the FFF's decision.
