Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reacted to the Gabonese government's decision to remove him from the national team, suspend the team's activities, and dismiss the coaching staff. Sport24.az reports that the 36-year-old striker shared this on his social media account:
"I think the team's problems are deeper than in my little person."
It should be noted that Gabon lost to Cameroon (0-1), Mozambique (2-3), and Ivory Coast (2-3) in the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, finishing last in Group F. Aubameyang debuted for the Gabon national team in March 2009. He scored 39 goals and provided 10 assists in 82 games for the national team.
