"Atletico Madrid" has set a price to part ways with English midfielder Conor Gallagher.
According to Idman.Biz, insider Fabrizio Romano reports that the Madrid club could sell the 25-year-old midfielder to "Manchester United" for approximately 30 million euros in the January transfer window. A loan is definitely not being considered.
"Manchester United" expressed interest in Gallagher at the end of the summer transfer window, but "Atletico Madrid" later announced that he would stay in the squad. Now the situation may change: the Englishman is looking for more playing time to increase his chances of participating in the 2026 World Cup.
Gallagher joined "Atletico Madrid" in the summer of 2024 for 34 million pounds, but has only started in three games this season. According to Romano, a permanent transfer is considered the most realistic option: "If a full contract is offered, the situation may change. Sources say that a fee of around 30 million euros would be a good chance to transfer Gallagher in the winter."
It is also noted that in addition to "Manchester United", several clubs from England and Italy are closely monitoring the situation.
