"Athletic" head coach Ernesto Valverde held a press conference before the match against "Qarabag".
Idman.Biz reports that Valverde said that "Qarabag" scored 6 points in 2 games in the League stage of the Champions League:
"We clearly see that they are the leaders, and we are the last. This is an opportunity for us to start scoring points, and we want to do it".
Valverde laughed and answered an Azerbaijani journalist's question about the claims that they would defeat "Qarabag" with a score of 9:0, which was spread on his behalf:
"The rumors that we will beat them with a score of 9:0 are terrible. I can't express it in words. We respect them. 1:0 would be a normal score. They are a team that plays freely, with a good midfield and attack line. They have many legionary players - Brazilians, Colombians, Poles... We must be careful. They play well in attack. They are the champions of their country and will put pressure to win. They have rested more, they often make changes in their squads".
