A group of 47 professional athletes has sent a letter to UEFA calling for Israel to be banned from international competitions. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by the BBC.
The statement was signed by Hakim Ziyech, who plays for Qatar's Al-Duhail club, Cheick Doucouré, Crystal Palace midfielder, Anwar El Ghazi, former Mainz midfielder, Sam Morsy, former Ipswich captain, and Moeen Ali, former member of the England national cricket team.
It is noted that Paul Pogba, Monaco's midfielder, was also reported to have signed the letter, but his name is not currently on the list.
