"Manchester City" goalkeeper James Trafford may leave the club this summer.
According to Idman.Biz, citing TEAMtalk, "Aston Villa" is among the Premier League clubs interested in signing the goalkeeper.
Since the arrival of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Trafford has lost his place in the starting lineup. He is currently Donnarumma's backup, but is frustrated by the limited playing time and is looking for regular practice elsewhere.
Several Premier League clubs have reportedly expressed interest in the goalkeeper, with "Aston Villa" among the potential options. Trafford has made only 11 appearances in all competitions so far. "Newcastle United" is also monitoring the player.
On July 29, 2025, Trafford joined "Manchester City" from "Burnley" and signed a five-year contract.
