"Theoretically, it is possible for "Sabah" to eliminate the 5-point gap between them and "Turan Tovuz"." These words were said by Aslan Karimov in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist assessed "Sabah"'s chances for fourth place with two rounds remaining:
"It is very difficult for "Sabah" to overtake "Turan Tovuz". The fate of the capital club is not in their own hands. On the other hand, if we look at the opponents they will face, "Turan Tovuz" has matches against "Sumgayit" and "Kapaz". Kurban Berdiyev's team is capable of defeating these opponents. "Sabah" will face "Zira" and "Neftchi". "Sabah" may stumble in one of these matches. We must take into account that the game against "Neftchi" is close to the cup final. Therefore, "Sabah"'s main focus will be on the final. In the run-up to the decisive match, Vasili Berezutski will also try to protect the team from injuries."
It should be noted that "Turan Tovuz", currently with 49 points, is 4th, and "Sabah" is 5th with 44 points.
