"We have a group with Lithuania and Liechtenstein, which is not easy at all. It cannot be said that we are head and shoulders above these rivals. I am sure that under the leadership of such a specialist, the national team is fully capable of taking first place in the group and qualifying for League C," said Asgar Abdullayev.

According to the results of the draw held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, the opponents of the Azerbaijani national team, which will compete in League D, have been determined. During the draw, our national team, which was in the first pot, will face the national teams of Lithuania and Liechtenstein in the 2nd group.
The new season in the League of Nations will start in September 2026.
