England's "Arsenal" club has taken official steps for the transfer of 25-year-old right-back Mateuzinho, who plays for Brazil's "Corinthians".
"Report", citing "Daily Arsenal", reports that the London representative is interested in strengthening the defense line.
The head coach of the "Gunners", Mikel Arteta, insists on the player's inclusion in the squad. However, "Corinthians" does not intend to sell one of its main players and takes a firm stance on this issue.
However, if Mateuzinho himself insists on the transfer, it is not excluded that the Brazilian club will reconsider its position.
The defender has scored one goal in 13 games this season.
It should be noted that Mateuzinho's contract with "Corinthians" is valid until 2028. The "Transfermarkt" portal estimates his market value at 6 million euros.
