London "Arsenal" is set to break the women's football transfer record by acquiring Liverpool striker Olivia Smith for £1 million (€1.16 million).
Idman.biz reports that the British publication "The Guardian" has reported on this.
According to reports, never before has such an amount been paid for a player in the history of women's football.
"Liverpool" transferred Smith from "Sporting" in 2024 for £50,000. The 20-year-old scored 7 goals in 20 matches in her debut season in the English Women's Super League.
It should be noted that Smith has also been playing for the Canadian national team since 2019.
