"At the beginning of the season, our goal was to stay in the Premier League. We could have done more, and we achieved it." These words were said by "Shamakhi" footballer Arsen Aghabayov in his statement to Sport24.az.
The defender spoke about having few chances in the "Shamakhi" squad:
"I started to be on the field more towards the end of the season. Getting few chances in the games is the head coach's decision, and I respect it. Ayxan müəllim knows better. I have a one-year contract with the club. Currently, all my thoughts are with "Shamakhi". I cannot say what "Shamakhi's" goal will be next season. It is too early to talk about it."
It should be noted that "Shamakhi" finished the Misli Premier League in 7th place with 36 points.
