Liverpool head coach Arne Slot spoke about the physical condition of 26-year-old Swedish striker Aleksandr Isak, who has struggled since moving to Anfield.
Idman.Biz reports that Isak moved from Newcastle to Liverpool for 145 million euros in September 2025.
"He has already done 5-6 weeks of pre-season training, which is normal for any player, especially considering that Isak did not have a full pre-season training at Newcastle. Physically, he is now close to his level and we can already fairly assess his performance. Aleksandr has played several games, 70, 80 and 90 minutes. We'll see how he plays in the coming weeks," Slot said.
The footballer has made six appearances in all tournaments for the club this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
