Liverpool's head coach, Arne Slot, has spoken about the club's summer transfer plans and financial policy. Sport24.az reports that the Dutch specialist said that after being eliminated from the Champions League, the team must first sell players in order to make new transfers:
"The club's model is like this – we usually have to sell to buy. The same situation will happen this summer. This is a big challenge, but we have shown before that this model works."
Slot added that there are also players who will leave the team in the summer. Thus, Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson will leave the club as free agents due to the expiration of their contracts.
It should be noted that after Liverpool were eliminated from the Champions League, the pressure on the team has increased even more. Both the club's transfer policy and the future of head coach Arne Slot are currently under discussion.
