"I think it's obvious that the decision was wrong. It was as clear an episode as everyone could see," Slot told Sky in a statement.
He emphasized that the referee's decision had a serious impact on the course of the game.
Virgil van Dijk himself avoided questions about the episode and stated that the main issue was the result:
