Liverpool manager Arne Slot is confident that the team's new players will show themselves as they spend more time together. Sport24.az reports that Slot said this at a press conference before the game against Leeds:
"I don't think this only applies to the new players we have transferred. I think if you bring in a lot of new players and at the same time many players leave the team, you see that they play better after spending a little more time together. They spend more time in training and matches and, as a rule, play better. I think this was visible last season, because the year before that the team was as it was under Jurgen Klopp. Last season, especially in the first half, we played very good football and it benefits the players to spend more time together.
Adding new players to the existing squad also creates a serious opportunity for progress. But when replacing players, time is needed. Usually, after a while, things get back to normal.
Unfortunately, we will not see Giovanni Leoni this season, and Isaac will need a lot of time to return to the field. You can calculate how much they are worth, but if you compare it with what we sold, maybe an interesting story will come out."
