– It was a difficult game. We got a good result. We played professionally. We played well and scored goals in the first half. In the second half, the Azerbaijan national team played better. We won an important victory without conceding a goal.
– In what aspects did the Azerbaijan national team surprise you?
– They played well physically, they were intense. It is noticeable that the team has improved compared to the first game. I was expecting the game at the beginning of the second half from the first half. Also, after the first half, they were behind in the score and the fans were motivating them. They played intensely. My team reacted well to this.
– Is there anything different in our national team than in the match with Iceland?
– They were playing with the same system as the first game. The team is now more structured and disciplined. They are developing. They have to look forward as a team, they have good young players. They need time to win. The Azerbaijan national team is on the right track. They played well against Ukraine. They will get the results they want in the near future.
– You are fighting with Ukraine for second place. How do you assess your chances in the next stage? What do you expect from the France – Ukraine game?
– I will watch the game. I hope France wins. If so, a draw will be enough in the last game. If Ukraine scores points today, they will have to win. I hope Kilian Mbappe will make us happy.
– What do you think about the refereeing of the game?
– There was a controversial penalty episode. Fortunately, he didn't award a penalty. We thought that VAR would be checked.

– I've seen the city. I liked it, it has friendly people.
