The Icelandic national football team will try to achieve a good result in the match against the Azerbaijani team.
Idman.Biz reports that the team's head coach Arnar Qunnlauqsson said this at a press conference.
The specialist shared his thoughts on the 2026 World Cup qualifying match they will play against the Azerbaijani team:
"This match is important for our team. We have to win a result to protect our play-off chances. We hope everything will be in our favor."
He noted that the opponent is playing with the same tactics: "But they are already fighting more willingly. We won the first match with a score of 5:0. Nevertheless, the Azerbaijani national team did not make a bad impression in that match."
