Asadov shared his impressions of the tournament:
"The tournament was held at a high level and in a friendly atmosphere. I was the oldest player in the team, as mainly veterans up to 45 years old participated. I had very few acquaintances in the Asian team, but I knew almost everyone in the Russian team. I played together with many of them in the USSR national team. It was nice to see Onopko, Khlestov and other footballers I knew from my school years again".
