"Sabah" has a new head coach and transfers. It is not right to comment on the current situation of the team because we have not seen their official games," said Arif Asadov in an interview with Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist shared his expectations for the "Sabah" - "Cele" (Slovenia) match, which will be held in the first leg of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League:
"Considering the club's performance at the end of last season, we can say that there is a high morale. In this regard, there is hope that they will perform successfully against "Cele". I rate the chances as 50/50. The opponent is also very strong. They managed to succeed in the Conference League last year. But "Sabah" has the strength to overcome this opponent. There are positive and negative sides to playing with a new head coach in a short time. The positive thing is that when a new head coach comes to the team, the mood is high. Everyone tries to work harder to show themselves in a good light. The negative side is that there may be difficulties in terms of adaptation. It is not so easy to instill a game style, a football philosophy in a short time."
It should be noted that the "Sabah" - "Cele" match will be held on July 10 at 20:00 at the "Bank Respublika Arena".
