"The decisive stage of the season begins in the Misli Premier League. There is a preparation period and 17 more games ahead. Currently, the main issue is how effectively the teams can use the winter break in terms of both transfers and preparation."
Arif Asadov, who works as an instructor in UEFA coaching courses held in Baku, said these words while talking about the second part of the Misli Premier League and his expectations from the teams' winter preparation plans.
He said that "Qarabag" and "Sabah" teams are more likely to compete for the first place.
"Of course, there will be a serious fight for the championship between these teams. This is already obvious. Several teams are competing for second to fourth places and the cup. All clubs in the top six of the tournament table have a real chance. There are also high expectations from "Neftchi". A new head coach has been appointed and they should make maximum use of the winter preparation period. By winning 2-3 victories in the first rounds after the break, they can join the fight for the top spots with full force," he said in a statement to AZERTAC.
The expert also mentioned the names of the teams with a high probability of qualifying for the European Cup:
"Zira", "Turan Tovuz", "Araz-Nakhchivan", "Sumgayit" and, of course, "Neftchi" will compete for a place in the European Cups. The performance of each of these clubs in the tournament table and in the games gives reason to say that they will compete seriously for the European Cup."
It should be noted that the "Sabah" team went to the winter break as the leader with 37 points.
