Yesterday, the Argentine national team, having won against Chile (1:0), secured first place in the qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup in South America. Sport24.az reports that the Argentinians have scored 34 points in 15 rounds and lead the tournament table.
Ecuador and Paraguay are in second and third place with 24 points each.
It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada and Mexico. For the first time in history, 48 teams will compete in the final stage.
