The score was opened in the 24th minute by star Colombian striker Luis Diaz: the Liverpool player scored a beautiful goal. In the 71st minute of the match, the Argentinians were reduced to 10 men after midfielder Enzo Fernandez received a red card for a high foot that struck an opponent in the face with his studs.
In the 81st minute, Argentine midfielder Thiago Almada managed to equalize. Argentine striker Lionel Messi was on the field for 78 minutes, but did not leave a mark with productive actions in the match.
Argentina will play their next match against Venezuela, and Colombia against Bolivia, both matches will take place on September 3.
