Aqil Nabiyev, the head coach of the Azerbaijan national U-16 football team, shared his thoughts with the AFFA press service after the friendly match (2:1) against the corresponding age group of Belarus at Bina Stadium:
"This is our first gathering with this team in 2025. Our players had been playing in the league play-offs since the beginning of the month. Therefore, we were almost unable to train as a complete team. It is normal to have physical fatigue. Of course, it is difficult to show the desired game in this case. We are happy with the victory. I believe that these victories will continue. Let's take into account that these players have little international experience. As they perform in such games, they will show better performance."
It should be noted that our U-16 team will face the Belarus team in the second friendly match on May 11. The game, which will be held in the same venue, will start at 17:00.
