Aqil Nabiyev, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team consisting of football players under 16 years old, shared his thoughts with the AFFA press service before the final game against the Russian national team within the framework of the III CIS Games. The head coach said that the team is ready for the decisive match:
"When we came to the tournament, our goal was first to reach the final, and then to become the champion. By qualifying for the final, we have reached the minimum goal. Tomorrow's game is very important for us. Our team is ready for the final match. We have analyzed both games played by the Russian national team in the group, we know their strengths and weaknesses. No matter how difficult it is, we will do our best to win the final. For this, it is necessary to be more aggressive and willing. There is no favorite in the final, the teams' chances are fifty-fifty."
Aqil Nabiyev emphasized that fan support can be decisive in the final: "In tomorrow's match, we need the support of fans who will call our team to victory. I believe that our fans will be with us tomorrow. We are a young team, the players need support and motivation. I hope that we will hold the final match in front of full stands."
It should be noted that the match between Azerbaijan (U-16) and Russia (U-16), which will be held on October 4 at the Gabala city stadium, will start at 14:00.
