The Azerbaijan national team of football players under 16 is ready for the final match against Russia at the III CIS Games.
The head coach of the team, Aqil Nabiyev, gave an interview to the AFFA press service about this.
The specialist stated that when they came to the tournament, their goal was first to reach the final, and then to become champions. "We have achieved the minimum goal by qualifying for the final. Tomorrow's game is very important for us. Our team is ready for the final match. We have analyzed both games played by the Russian national team in the group, we know their strengths and weaknesses. No matter how difficult it is, we will do our best to win in the final. For this, it is necessary to be more aggressive and willing. There is no favorite in the final, the teams' chances are fifty-fifty". Aqil Nabiyev emphasized that the support of the fans can be decisive in the final: "In tomorrow's match, we need the support of the fans who will call our team to victory. I believe that our fans will be with us tomorrow. We are a young team, the players need support and motivation. I hope that we will hold the final match in front of full stands". It should be noted that the match between Azerbaijan (U-16) - Russia (U-16), which will be held on October 4 at the Gabala City Stadium, will start at 14:00.
