Napoli coach Antonio Conte has stated that victory over Qarabag in the Champions League would be the best way to commemorate the legendary Diego Maradona on the anniversary of his death.
According to Idman.Biz, the Italian specialist said this at a pre-match press conference in Naples.
Conte noted that the team will approach the match with the right energy after a 3-1 victory over Atalanta in Serie A.
According to him, the Azerbaijani representative is one of the surprise teams of the Champions League this season, and therefore the Neapolitans must be as careful as possible.
The coach emphasized that Qarabag plays fast football, the legionnaires have adapted well and the team plays with high intensity. Napoli must be ready for this from the first minutes.
"We are going into this game with the necessary energy and we want to show football at a high level. Tomorrow is the anniversary of Diego Maradona's death and it would be great to dedicate the victory to him," Conte said.
