Arsenal Football Club has taken the lead in the race to sign Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon, overtaking Liverpool and Manchester United. The London club believes the 25-year-old footballer will be open to a move to the capital.
Idman.Biz reports that the Gunners are willing to pay £75 million (AZN 172 million) for this transfer. However, the Magpies are demanding £95 million (AZN 218 million) for their star player.
The arrival of Gordon, who has long been admired by head coach Mikel Arteta, could result in another of the team's wingers, Gabriel Martinelli, leaving the club.
