Anj Mutsinzi: Games will not be easy for teams playing against us

An interview with Zira defender Anj Mutsinzi for Sport24.az.

- You managed to reach the semi-finals by winning against Sumgayit. How was the match for you?
- It was not an easy game at all. We just started the first half well. After creating some pressure on the opponent, we managed to score the first goal. But despite this, Sumgayit could put pressure after the break. However, after the red card, we continued our attacks and scored our second goal. Overall, it was a difficult match, but we won an important victory.

- But from the outside, it seemed that it was not a difficult game for the defense line. Because Sumgayit's attack line could not create much danger...
- I don't think it's as it seems. Because Sumgayit's attacking players are always moving players. They are dynamic players. This was also the factor that created difficulties for the defense line. Maybe it seems to you that it was not difficult, but for me it was difficult.

- In the next stage, you will face Turan Tovuz or Kapaz. Will you support Kapaz?
- As a professional football player, I will watch the game from a neutral position. It doesn't matter which team qualifies for the next stage. We will just wait for our opponent and focus on our game.

- Your next game is against Kapaz in the Premier League. Are you worried that there will be physical fatigue due to the tight schedule?
- There will be no problem with our physical condition. Even though we play 2 games a week, our head coach makes certain rotations in the games. Therefore, our physical condition will be at the desired level.

- What are your chances of finishing in 3rd place at the end of the season?
- Games will not be easy for teams playing against us. Because we will try to do our best. We are constantly working on ourselves, why not?


- The head coach of the Rwanda national team, Adel Amrouche, came to Baku in December and watched your game. It seems that his trip to Azerbaijan was not successful for him. Because he was sent away from the national team. Is that right?
- There were analyzes of all the performances of the team's head coach from last year to today, by the federation. Considering that he did not perform well enough, the head coach was dismissed. Currently, the federation is looking for a new head coach.
