Andrey Shtogrin's Future at Neftchi Remains Uncertain

Andrey Shtogrin has reached the end of the road with Neftchi, with whom he signed an agreement last summer.

Idman.biz, referring to Sportinfo.az, reports that Baku officials are about to find common ground with the Ukrainian legionnaire who does not want to leave Azerbaijan.

Significant progress has been made in negotiations in this direction. Shtogrin has agreed to terminate his 3-year contract in exchange for certain compensation.

Currently, some minor details remain, which are expected to be clarified soon.

Neftchi members tried to help Andrey until the last moment. They contacted their colleagues working in several Premier League clubs and announced that they wanted to rent the 29-year-old winger.

The "Black and Whites" are ready to pay a part of Shtogrin's salary for this transfer to take place.

Roman Grigorchuk's favorite lost his place in the main squad after his departure. The forward, who could not gain the trust of Samir Abasov, was not ordered for the new season.

Shtogrin, who was left out of the application submitted to the Professional Football League, receives a salary of $17,000.

His name is also mentioned along with some Ukrainian clubs. At the head of this list is Chornomorets, for which he once played.

However, the culprit does not want to return to his country, where the war continues.

Mainly because of his wife. His wife considers herself happy in Azerbaijan and asks her husband to stay here.
