Ukrainian coach Andrey Demchenko will become the new head coach of the Azerbaijani football club "Araz-Nakhchivan."
According to Idman.Biz, citing Ukrainian media, the 49-year-old specialist has already signed a contract with the club until the summer of 2027. Demchenko will be able to start his duties in early January.
His last job as a coach was with the Kazakhstan team "Jenis." Under his leadership, the team took sixth place in the Kazakhstan championship and reached the semi-finals of the national cup.
Demchenko is best known for his work in Ukraine. There he coached "Metallist 1925." Outside the country, he also managed "Obod" in Uzbekistan, and worked with the teams "Dila Gori" and "Dinamo Batumi" in Georgia.
It should be noted that "Araz-Nakhchivan" is currently in sixth place in the Azerbaijan championship table with 26 points after 16 rounds. The Nakhchivan team will play its next match against "Imishli" on January 23.
