Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced his conditions for the squad that will participate in the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that Ancelotti, specifically mentioning Neymar and Vinicius Junior, noted that if Vinicius Junior is 90 percent fit, another player who is 100 percent ready will be called up instead.
The head coach emphasized in his statement that the Brazilian national team's attack line is very competitive and only players in full physical condition can make it into the squad.
Due to successive injuries in the last two years, Neymar has been away from the national team. He last wore the uniform in the match against Uruguay in October 2023.
The 33-year-old striker is currently struggling with a meniscus problem in his left knee and is expected to need arthroscopic surgery at the end of the year. However, he appeared and scored in Santos's 3-0 victory over Sport last week.
In his post-match statement, Neymar said that he was feeling better and better and that he was currently focusing on getting Santos to a safe position in the league.
