The matches of the 15th round in the South American zone of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers are underway.

In their first match under new head coach Carlo Ancelotti, Brazil failed to overcome the resistance of second-placed Ecuador, ending in a goalless draw – 0:0.
Group leaders and already-qualified Argentina defeated bottom-placed Chile 1:0 away, thanks to a first-half goal.
Lionel Messi came on in the 57th minute. With this victory, the reigning world champions have secured the top spot in the South American zone with three rounds still to go.
Two more matches are scheduled for tonight: Colombia vs Peru and Venezuela vs Bolivia.
