Anatoli Nuriyev, a football player of the "Zira" club, spoke after the victory over "Karvan-Yevlakh" in the 20th round of the Misli Premier League.
Idman.Biz reports that the midfielder said in an interview with sport24.az that he appeared on the field for the first time after a certain break. He emphasized that he last played for the national team in November last year and said he believed he would regain his form over time. The football player also reminded that there are still three months left until the end of the season.
Nuriyev said that his transfer to "Zira" took place on the basis of an offer, and they reached an agreement after negotiations. According to him, he always wants to play, and staying on the bench for a long time is difficult both for the football player and psychologically. For this reason, he decided to change clubs.
He confirmed that, as head coach Rashad Sadigov said, "Sabah" was contacted for his transfer. Nuriyev noted that he wanted to leave back in December, but he was not allowed to do so at first, and then the club made concessions.
The midfielder, who said that he had other offers, emphasized that it does not matter now. He said that his main goal is to show himself in training and get a chance to play.
Answering the question "What was the reason why you became a substitute player?", Nuriyev said that the team is in good shape and there is a lot of competition in his position. The football player noted that the head coach does not give him a chance, but he respects his choices, and such cases are normal in football.
He added that he would not regret it if "Sabah" becomes the champion. The midfielder, who reminded that he played for that club for three and a half years, said that he would only rejoice for his former team and hoped that his career in "Zira" would be successful.
