İdman.Biz, citing the newspaper "Sabah", reports that although Fenerbahçe reached an agreement with El Karouani, the left-back of the Dutch team Utrecht, the situation changed after Sofyan Amrabat's intervention.
According to the source, Sofyan Amrabat, whom Fenerbahçe loaned to Real Betis, initially spoke with his compatriot El Karouani and presented the club positively. However, he later recommended the player to Real Betis, and this step led the Spanish club to contact the player.
It is reported that Fenerbahçe offered El Karouani a four-year contract and an annual salary of 1.3 million euros.
