Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa commented on the result of the match against Osasuna in the 25th round of La Liga.
Idman.Biz reports that the capital team lost the match with a score of 2:1.
"From what I've seen, there may have been a foul before the second goal. Two very difficult offside decisions - not in our favor.
We didn't play our best game; we need to be better and more intense. It's not easy to play in the middle and end of the week, but that's what's expected of us. This is Real Madrid. I knew it would be difficult and I wasn't wrong. No one, especially us, likes to lose. Like I said, it's going to be a long season and it hasn't even started yet. And I still think so.
In the first half we controlled the game, but we lacked speed. When the opponent defends deep, you need to move the ball faster. We need to create chances from both flanks and we were on the left - that's natural, but it's easier to defend against us that way.
I hope this defeat means nothing, because in four days (in the Champions League - ed.) we face a fight for survival. The team shows its strength when difficulties arise. There is no room for doubt. I believe in the team. We need stability. We will continue to work and get the most out of each player, because we need them all," AS quotes Arbeloa as saying.
After 25 games in the Spanish league, Real Madrid leads the standings with 60 points. Osasuna is in ninth place with 33 points.
