Former "Qarabag" footballer Richard Almeida gave an interview to the Brazilian press. Sport24.az reports that he recalled the years he spent with the "horsemen":
"When I was a child, I told my father that I wanted to play in the Champions League. Thank God I achieved this with "Qarabag". After fighting in the play-off stage for eight years, qualifying for the group stage was the result of my efforts. Playing in stadiums like "Stamford Bridge" and "Olimpico" is a great feeling.
I have been a leader both on and off the field. Even when I wasn't playing, I supported my teammates in the locker room."
Almeida played for "Qarabag" in 2012-2019 and 2021-2025.
