Aliou Cisse has been appointed as the new head coach of the Angola national team. Sport24.az reports that this was announced on the official website of the local federation.
The 50-year-old specialist has signed a two-year contract with the "black antelopes." According to the agreement, the parties can extend the agreement for another year.
Cisse's last job was with the Libyan national team. Before that, Aliou was "at the helm" of the Senegal national team. Under his leadership, the team participated in the 2018 and 2022 World Championships. They took second place in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. In 2021, they won the tournament.
It should be noted that the Angola national team failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
