Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has spoken about his conflict with Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel during their time together at the club. Sport24.az reports that the Scottish specialist made a statement to Give me Sport about this:
"We once argued, and he stood right in front of me. The other players turned a blind eye to it... At that moment, I looked up and thought that if he hit me, I would be dead."
It should be noted that Peter Schmeichel played for Manchester United from 1991-1999. He was one of the key players of the Sir Alex Ferguson era. Together with the club, the Dane won 15 trophies, including the Champions League in 1999.
