Sir Alex Ferguson spoke about George Best, the legend of Manchester United. Sport24.az reports that he made a statement to Give Me Sport:
"He was a very fantastic footballer... I think everyone at Manchester United considers George one of the best players of all time. I think we should remember him that way. I would say that there has never been a better British player in this club and in the history of English football.
The problem is that he never played in the final of the European or World Championship. Players who miss this chance are deprived of being among the greatest in history."
Note that George Best died on November 25, 2005.
