- You won against "Kapaz" with a score of 3-0. How do you assess the first match of the season?
- We started the season well. We fought well as a team. We were superior to the opponent. We scored an early goal. Soon we scored a second time. With the third goal, the fate of the game was already decided.
- The goals didn't continue in the second half...
- Yes, we didn't play so brightly in the second half. Maybe we saved some of our strength. But the main thing is that we kept the winning score until the end and started the season with 3 points.
- Considering that you scored in the first official match, is it possible to say that your debut in "Sumgayit" was successful?
- The debut was not bad. I will do my best in the upcoming games as well. I didn't have any problems during the adaptation period. The atmosphere in the team is great. The coaching staff has established good relations between the players. We will get better from game to game.
- Next round you will face "Qarabag". Will you be able to continue the successful start?
- Of course, "Qarabag" is a very strong team. However, we can beat them. We will do our best. If we win, it will really be a great start.
- You are in the Azerbaijan Premier League again. What are your impressions?
- Everything is great. I am very happy. I love Azerbaijan and I am happy to be back here.
- It was said that some Azerbaijani clubs were interested in you when you left "Sabail" last summer. How did it happen that "Sumgayit" convinced you, not them, and your return took place 1 year later?
- Frankly, I wanted to stay here at that time too. I didn't want to leave Azerbaijan. But it didn't work out. When I received an offer from "Sumgayit", we had a conversation. We talked to the president of the club. I liked the project and decided to be a part of this club.
- You were the second top scorer of the championship as part of "Sabail". What is your goal this time?
- I will try to do better. I will do my best to score as many goals as possible.
