Swedish striker Aleksandr Isak will not appear in a Liverpool shirt yet.
Idman.biz reports that the footballer, who joined the team on the last day of the transfer window for 125 million pounds, breaking the English record, was not included in the application to participate in the Premier League match against Burnley.
The reason for this is that Isak is not currently in optimal form. During the pre-season training period, he almost did not train with Newcastle. The footballer was temporarily excluded from the main team for refusing to attend training.
Liverpool's head coach Arne Slot fielded the same squad as in the match against Arsenal. Thus, the Swedish striker's debut has been postponed until at least the next round.
