Moscow Spartak and Ghana national team defender Aleksandr Djiku has announced that he wants to leave the club during the winter transfer window.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the main reason for his desire to leave is family problems with his wife.
It is reported that Djiku's wife is dissatisfied with living in Russia, therefore, the 31-year-old foreign defender has asked his agent to transfer him from the Turkish club Besiktas in January.
Djiku joined the red and whites in September and has played 11 games for the team. He previously played for the French clubs Caen and Strasbourg, as well as the Turkish team Fenerbahce. Djiku has played 36 games for the Ghana national team and scored four goals, including participating in the 2022 World Cup.
