Liverpool forward Aleksander Isak has bought a doberman dog for £30,000 (approximately €34,000) for protection purposes.
Lent.az reports that the purchase of the dog is linked to death and violence threats addressed to the footballer after his performances for the Swedish national team. The threats intensified particularly after the Swedish national team's failure in the 2026 World Cup qualifying stage, raising serious concerns about the footballer's personal safety.
It is noted that the trend of Premier League footballers acquiring dogs to protect personal property is increasing. This has been observed following the increase in burglaries and raids on the homes of famous people in Britain in recent years.
