Aksel Hellmann, a member of Eintracht's board of directors, responded to a question about the new head coach by saying: "We are in the final stages."
Riera has been in charge of the Slovenian club since the summer of 2024. Under his leadership, Celje won the Slovenian Cup. After 19 games in the Bundesliga, Eintracht has 27 points and is in eighth place.
