The president of Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad has said that he still hopes to sign Lionel Messi.
Idman.Biz reports that Anmar Al-Haili recalled the offer made to the Inter Miami striker after he left PSG in 2023.
"I offered Messi 1.4 billion euros. Despite trying to convince his family, he rejected such a high offer for the sake of his family.
I would offer him a contract where he could earn as much as he wanted. For as long as he wanted, even for life. We would have celebrated the championship before the matches even started, because we would have had the best player in football history," said Al-Haili.
