Karim Benzema, currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, is once again in the transfer spotlight. Al-Hilal, another giant of the country, is interested in the striker.
Idman.Biz reports that Al-Hilal has made an official request to Al-Ittihad regarding a possible transfer of Benzema. The Jeddah representative is asking for a minimum of 25 million euros (approximately 50 million AZN) for the French footballer's transfer.
According to the source, Benzema wants a contract until June 2027. The striker's current contract with Al-Ittihad is valid until June 30, 2026.
Earlier, there were reports that the footballer had refused to extend his contract and would leave the team in the winter transfer window. It is also reported that Turkish club Besiktas is interested in Benzema.
This season, Karim Benzema has played 21 matches for Al-Ittihad in all competitions, scoring 16 goals. According to Transfermarkt, the market value of the French striker is six million euros (approximately 12 million AZN).
